Send SMS from your computer: 3 ways for businesses
Send SMS from a PC or Mac without a phone: via your phone's link app, a web SMS gateway in the browser or an API. What each costs, from €0.084 per SMS.
Short answer: for a few private messages, link your phone to the computer. For business messages under your company name, to many recipients or on a schedule, use a web SMS gateway in the browser: no installation, €0.084 per SMS to Germany and Austria, no monthly fee.
Which option suits which purpose?
| Option | Good for | Limits |
|---|---|---|
| Phone link app (e.g. Phone Link on Windows, Messages on Mac) | personal messages from your own number | phone must be connected; no company name, no bulk sending |
| Web SMS gateway in the browser | customers, teams, campaigns | costs per SMS; replies do not come back to a company name |
| SMS API | automatic messages from shop, CRM or app | needs a developer or a plugin |
